There's nothing like Going Out On TOP!!!

Joey's football team won the Championship!!! It was, by far, the BEST game EVER!!! But I think we all knew it would be. This was their final year of youth football. Next year they will be playing Freshman ball. This team has been together since 4th grade, and Troy has been there with them coaching all along. So has our great friend Kent Bauman. The two of them make a great balance when it comes to coaching. The night was filled with mixed emotions. Excitement for the Championship Game, I had butterfly's all day! And Sorrow, because we knew this was the last game for these boys as a team. They couldn't have made the night any better! I do have to say.... SORRY Mom, I kind of blew work off..... I spent the day painting banners & signs for the game. I had a Good Luck banner hanging on the front of the house for Joey when he got home from school. And then two more for the game. I also made signs to pass out throught the crowd to cheer our team on. We have the GREATEST fans!!!
This picture was taken just before the game started.

This Joey's buddy Prentiss Miller. He played on the Hurricane opposing team. He is a very talented athlete!

These boys think they are pretty HOT STUFF!

Kent is holding Benny. This is a little brother of one of our players. This cute little family was at every practice, and they have the cutest kids. Troy fell in love with them, especially little Benny. He made him one of the coaches of the team. COACH BENNY! It was great, at practices Troy would have him yell GIVE ME A LAP!!! The boys loved it.

Joey smashed cake in Troys face after the game.

Awards!!!

After all the trophy's had been handed out, Troy yells out.... Wait a minute, we forgot some one. Coach Benny, GET UP HERE!!! This little guy was beaming!

The Boys named all the coaches as the ROCKS of the game. After each game the MVP is awarded the ROCK, all the players lay a hand on them in the circle as they chant WHO ARE WE?

Alexis & Kyron are getting married!

We will soon be welcoming, with open arms, a new son in-law into our family. Alexis and Kyron are getting married on December 6th. We are very excited for this little family to begin a new chapter of their life. We wish them all the love and happiness that we ourselves have experienced together over the years. There is nothing more rewarding for you, than to be able to share every moment of your child's life together as a Whole Family!
I was lucky enough to be able to take their pictures, and make their wedding announcements. Thank you for letting me do this for you, I loved every minute of it. (Its my passion!) We drove up to Provo Canyon the first part of October and met them for the pictures. It is always so good to see them, I have always hated the fact that they live so far away. Anyway, as always, Lex was stunning. She is so beautiful, and the camera just soaks it up. I can't think of a picture I have ever taken or seen of her that hasen't been great. And now that she is grown they just turn out breath taking! I feel so blessed to have been able to have such a wonderful and loving step-daughter. Although, STEP means nothing to me, I have loved you like my very own from the day I saw you Lex. I can hardly believe it has been over 16 years!! Thank you, for being so excepting. And also, for being such a GREAT Big Sister to Joey & Tana. They love and admire you so much.
I just love this innocent little face! Carter is such a cute boy!
Even though he is over a year old, Troy and I still kind of trying to
come to terms with the fact that we are Grandpartents.
And kind of laugh at the fact that Tate Lynn was born an instant Aunt.

Doesn't he have just the cutest little crooked smile?

Halloween

This year for Halloween Tana wanted to be a HIPPIE. Nothing like waiting til the last minute to find her a costume!!! We headed out Thursday evening for the search. After checking all around town, the chances of Tana being a hippie were beginning to look pretty slim. We decided to resort to the next best thing. Fifi The French Maid! Yeah, I know..... very similar. I was just glad to finally be done with the search!
I made it over to see her at the school's annual Halloween Parade. But just as I was set to snap her picture, she noticed me and this is what I got. I thought.... you little turd!
I followed the class into her classroom, and was able to get a cute picture of her with her goofy teacher, Mr. Bagley. Its nice to see that her teacher can keep things fun. There is nothing worse than the "No Nonsense" teacher. Learning needs to be fun!
Our little Tater Bug was the cutest little kitty. (Thanks to Sarah, my sister in-law. Her mom made this for Alvie last year) Gotta love hand me downs!! I did add a little embellishment of my own though, I thought the little bow tie needed to be girlied up a bit. She was so funny. Most babies fight and fuss in a costume, but she just hung out and smiled all night. The weather was so nice! I took her out in the stroller and she loved it. After all the kids were done we headed back for a nice bowl of chili.
"Sorry Joe, I didn't get a picture of you."
He and his friend, Austin, went to a Halloween party. They are at the age of, "no costumes required".

I've Been Tagged!

My sister Tenille tagged me. So I was to open my 8th picture file, and show my 6th picture. How crazy is it that it just happens to be a picture of her, mom and Grandma Stout holding Malia?

Grandma Stout passed away a couple of weeks ago. She was an amazing woman! We were so blessed to have such a loving and selfless person for a grandma. She always thought of others before herself. And always made sure you knew how much she loved you, and how talented you were. I remember one time when I was in beauty school, I had her come in to pass off a perm or something like that. My instructor had someone else style her hair after I had finished, I guess for that student to pass of a shampoo set. Of course she was happy to help. After her hair was done, she came over to my station, (her hair looked very nice) to whisper in my ear that her hair looked better when I did it. I know she just couldn't bring herself to walk out the door without telling me so, worried that I might think she liked it better.

I never liked my grandma to pay me when I did her hair, but she always had her money already folded up in her pocket ready to slip over on the sly when I wasn't looking. I would catch her every time and protest that she take it back. After a while I realized it was a battle I was never going to win, so I just stared pretending that I didn't see her tuck the money under my book. I do have to admit though, I loved it when she would pay me with a little baggy of pine nuts from her secret stash!!

I am so grateful that my kids were able to have such a close relationship with their great-grandma. And that they had the opportunity to witness her never ending love for her family. She has bestowed on us, a great legacy. The importance of family and unconditional love, that will be proudly passed down for years to come..... We love you Grandma Stout! You are forever in our hearts.

Tenille & Tate Lynn with her Blessing Blanket

Here is Tenille hold Tate Lynn with the blanket she made for her. It is such a cute blanket. She also had a braclet made for her special day.

Tate Lynn's Braclet

Isn't this just cutest braclet? Thanks Aunt Tenille. I had to paint Tate Lynn's nails, just to show off the bling! I of course had to do it while she was sleeping. I painted one hand at a time, held it and blew it dry, all bofore she moved or woke up. Doesn't it look so cute?

Tate Lynn's Blessing

We blessed Tate Lynn on September 7th. It turned out so nice. We had so many close friends and family there for the special occasion. I do have to say it was a bit caotic that morning though. Church started at 8:30 in the morning!... Yeah...I KNOW! a bit early. Thanks to everyone pitching in we all made it on time. Tenille and her family came the night before to help prepare all the food. Thanks Tenille, it's always fun to spend time with you in the kitchen. Cooking and laughing go so well together. We were up pretty late (that always seems to happen every time Tenille comes down, we get to talking and never go to bed). Thank you Shelly... Shelly came and took the watermelon home to cut it up for me the night before, then she and her family came over before church the next morning and went into turbo mode setting up tables and chairs, cleaning, sweeping and washing windows. And thank you Mom... for making all the biscuts for the gravy. Thanks to everyone... Everything was wonderful!!!
The blessing dress that Tate is wearing is the same one Montana was blessed in. I think that was pretty special. Also the Blessing Blanket was hand crafted by Aunt Tenille. Another something special for Tate to have. Thanks again.
Kent Bauman, a very special close friend of ours, blessed our little Tater Bug. He and Troy have coached Joey's football team for the last five years. They have become great friends over the years, and Troy had asked him to bless Tate months before she was even born. Troy has always said... he will have a free pass into heaven, just for having Bishop Buaman on his side.

Thank you, Kent and family for your gift of frienship. There is nothing better than spending time with people you love. We also want to thank all the other close friends and family who came, there were so many. It made such a great day Special!

First Day of School

So Joey is now in 8th Grade "MIDDLE SCHOOL" I can't believe it! Isn't he a good lookin' boy? Well I think so.... He is such a great kid, I think it has been kind of hard for them to head back to school this year just because they had to leave their new little Tate all day. The first thing they do when they get home is rush in to give Tater Bug her kisses.

Tana is in 5th Grade... This will be her last year in ELEMENTARY. The Big Dawgs... Everyone remembers their last year in Elementary right? Tana is a great student. She made it to the first day of school, but then came down with strep throat the next day and had to miss the rest of the week to recover. She sent me to school to get all of the work she had missed out on, so she could get it done and turned in and not fall behind. She has always done very well and needs little encouragement to do so. I'm relieved she isn't like I was... anything to get out of school work was my route. I guess letting them know my regrets have helped. Both Joey and Tana are awesome students, and work hard in school.

Tate Lynn has arrived!!!

Tate Lynn was born on August 8, 2008. Time was 1:02 pm. She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches long. She has been such a good baby. Mom and Dad are so proud! It was deffinetly worth the wait. We love to just sit and stare at her when she is starting to fall asleep, because she makes the funniest faces. She smiles big and sometimes even giggles. Its histericle.
Joey and Tana just love her to pieces. They can't seem to get enough time in for loving on her.

Tana is such a mother, she loves to change her into her pj's and get her all lotioned up for bed.

Joey loves it when she's hungry and searching for that bottle. He seems to think it is quite funny that she will suck on his nose if it happens to be readily available.

Football Season is HERE!

It is FINALLY back. The season starts again for Joey. We live for football in this house. I did it again... I am the League President for the Dixie area, I know this year is going to be a tough one but I love it. Baby Tate will have to live for it like the rest of us. This will be Joey's last year in youth football. Next year he will be in 9th grade and will be playing school ball, I can't believe he is already that old! He is such a great athlete! I love to watch him play. Troy has coached him every year. He is the best coach ever! All the boys love him.

Joey had the opportunity this summer to go up to Salt Lake and train with his uncle Jason (Who played ball for the University of Utah) and Jason's brother Doug Kaufusi (He is a trainer for Bigger Faster Stronger). He learned a great deal and has really been trying hard to maintain his work out schedule and all he was taught.

Alexis & Carter

We are so proud of Alexis, she is such a great mommy. Carter has to be the cutest boy alive! (Don't you think?) Tana just loves it when they come to visit. She lugs him around everywhere and hogs him to herself. He is now walking on his own and the last time they were visiting he much preferred to explore things himself rather than having Tana pick him up to show him around. Tana could hardly stand it.

Background

I finally did it!

Well, here you go! This is for all of you that have told me to set up a blog for the past... who knows how long. I just hope I can keep it updated regularly like the rest of you. I figured this would be the best time to set this up, since I now only have 5 more days until our new little bundle of joy arrives. That's right, for all of you who are unaware, the Miller family is having a baby! I know... ten years later, what are we thinking? Who knows? But we are all so excited we can hardly stand it. We all count the days down constantly. I thought this would be a great way to share our joy in the days, and years to come.
